Family Ministries

Sunday Opportunities during worship at 10:30 am

  • Many families choose to remain in the service together. Our balcony is equipped with toys and coloring items to keep young hands engaged during worship. We also have the service streaming over Zoom in our Library and Whale Room for parents who feel a need to step out of the sanctuary space for any reason.

  • Being in worship is part of faith development. When children are welcomed into the sanctuary from infancy, they learn that church is a safe place for them to be their whole selves before God. God doesn’t expect silence from children and neither do we!

  • We welcome children to the Communion Table. Jesus welcomed children to himself, so we welcome them to remember Christ through the eating of the bread and vine.

  • We aim to support our children to lead the congregation in worship. Children are welcome to assist in leading the congregation as Readers or Musical participants.

  • We have a weekly Children’s Bulletin to help those Kindergarten and above connect to what is happening in worship. Don’t tell, but a lot of the parents use it too!

  • We strive to include our kids in all the things we do. Children are as vital to all of our ministries as adults.
