Sermon - "Nothing is Wasted" - Rev. Dani Forbess

Please join us for Coffee and Cookies after worship in our reception room!  This week we're having a coffee cart where you can buy a latte and/or a mug.  There will also be a book sale.  Proceeds from both will benefit Mary's Place which provides services for the homeless in Seattle.

Regular Monthly Events

  • Community Night supper is every Wednesday at 6 pm except for next week, April 1st.  Neighborhood Bible study follows at 7 pm.  We'll share a simple supper and enjoy each other's company.  Anyone interested can bring a dessert to share.  Cooking or clean up help is not required, but always appreciated! Don't miss the fun!  Questions? Contact Jen Oxley.  
  • Knitting, Crochet and Needlework group will  meet on the 1st and third Tuesdays at 6:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring your yarn, floss and the needles and get ready for a great opportunity for fellowship. It may leave you in stitches! The next meeting is Tuesday 4/7/15 at 6 pm.
  • Session meetings are normally held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. The next meeting is April 28th.
  • Deacon meetings are held every other month on the second Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The next meeting is May 13th.

EASTER WEEK SCHEDULE

Thursday, 4/2 @ 6 pm  Maundy Thursday service and potluck supper.  Please bring a salad or side dish to share.  Lasagna will be provided.

Friday, 4/3 @ 7:30 pm  Good Friday service featuring music from early America.

Sunday, 4/5 @ 9 am  Pancake breakfast--Intergenerational Mission Trip fundraiser

Sunday, 4/5 @ 10:30 am  Easter worship with music from Vivaldi's Gloria and Handels Messiah.  After church we'll have a book sale to help fund the library.

DEACONS HYGIENE ITEMS DRIVE

The Deacons are collecting hygiene items for Mary's Place, a facility providing care for the homeless.  Seattle has the fourth largest homeless population in the nation which puts a heavy load on all caring organizations.  Travel size shampoos, soaps, razors, lotions, toothpaste and other hygiene items are preferred.  Items can be left in a box in the Narthex.  On Palm Sunday the youth will man a table where you can purchase travel sizes to donate to Mary's Place.  

IN MEMORIAL/IN HONOR OF GIFTS FOR EASTER

As in past years, you have the option to make a gift to the Deacons Fund for Easter in memory/in honor of loved ones.  On Sunday 3/22 & 3/29 there will be an envelope in the pews to make this gift.  On Easter Sunday we'll have a bulletin insert honoring your loved ones.

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING

We'll have inserts the next two weeks regarding the One Great Hour of Sharing giving opportunity.  We receive the offering on Easter.  This offering supports Food ministries and disaster assistance of the Presbyterian Church.
