 Regularly Scheduled Events

  • Ballard Ecumenical Ministry Shelter and overnight at Crown Hill United Methodist on Tuesday and Wednesdays and Northminster on Thursday and Friday evenings.  Volunteers are needed to staff the shelter for homeless mentally ill people for four nights a week. You can volunteer by hosting the guests in the evening from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., be there to sleep in the shelter and get the guests on their way in the morning from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., cook a meal to feed the guest and evening hosts or do laundry once a week. If you are interested in being a new volunteer, please call the church office at 783-3402.  
  • Lively Laughter Yoga class on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. and is taught by certified laughter Yoga teacher, Sandy Coyer. This class is free and open to everyone!
  • Session meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. 
  • Wednesday Community night Supper at 6:00 followed by Bible study (most weeks)-final community night supper will be held on May 23rd and will begin again in fall.
  • Wednesday night Youth group share a meal at 6:00, learn about God, play games and have fun!
  • Choir practice on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.
  • Second Friday (of the month) Readers Book Group 10:30 a.m. 
  • Newsletter deadline is the 20th of the month for calendar events and articles for the following month!

Ruth Cook memorial service

The memorial service for Ruth Cook will be held on Friday, May 25th at 2:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception. Donations of cookies will be greatly appreciated.

Rummage sale

We plan to have a small sale to raise money for the gardens on June 3rd after church from 12:00 to 4:00. While you are doing your spring cleaning, save linens, dishes, vases, kitchen equipment for the sale. Please, no electronics, large furniture, sporting equipment, exercise equipment or clothes. You may bring your items to church beginning Sunday, May 27th and during the week. On Saturday, June 2nd you may bring things between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Events for children and youth

We will appreciate all the teachers who work with our children and youth during worship on June 3rd.

Youth Sunday will be held during worship next Sunday, June 10th. Please come and celebrate our children and youth and congratulate our graduates that day!

Summer Sunday school begins on June 17th. Volunteers are needed!

There will not be a VBS, but crafts and activities will be done during Summer Sunday school this year

Campbell Farm Youth Mission trip will be July 22-28th. Stay tuned for information on a possible car wash.
